Pinergy, the smart energy provider, has announced the creation of a new specialist position to specifically support the Student Accommodation sector. Alan Clarke will take on the new role of Pinergy’s Energy Advisor for the Student Accommodation sector.
Pinergy advises a number of independent and international student accommodation managers across the country, including Gateway and Property Management Ireland (PMI). The student accommodation sector represents a growing area within the residential development industry. The creation of the new position will help Pinergy cater for the growing market.
Jon Jerromes, Head of Sales at Pinergy said: “The Student Accommodation sector is growing at an increasingly fast rate, with recent reports showing that 22 student projects have been built in Dublin, Cork and Galway between June 2016 and February 2019. The creation of this new role within Pinergy will allow us to offer expert advice to property managers and landlords across the sector. Alan will bring his industry experience to the new role and help customers manage energy consumption across their entire property portfolio.”

Pinergy supplies 100% green electricity from renewable energy sources and offers clients the most advanced smart energy technology currently available on the Irish market. Smart metering offers advantages to both student tenants and landlords. Pinergy offers a unique Energy Manager portal to property managers to help them understand their energy consumption across their entire portfolio of units in one central location. Alan’s appointment will ensure that dedicated account management advice and industry sector experience is available to Pinergy customers.
With Pinergy’s smart energy management system, student residents can use flexible options to manage payments and get instant real-time visibility on their energy costs. Pinergy’s Smart App allows users to flip how they view their energy consumption from KWh to CO2 to Euro, all at the touch of a button from the Pinergy Smart System dashboard.
Smart energy technology encourages reduced energy consumption, as the App allows residents to easily track and monitor their daily energy usage. This will enable tenants to reduce energy costs, while special student rate tariffs are also available for student accommodation properties. The smart technology system will provide students, property managers and landlords with a tool to empower them to play their part in building a sustainable future by becoming more energy efficient.
