PINERGY today announced that it has teamed up with Munster scrum-half, Conor Murray, for the 2018/2019 season, as part of its innovative #WeAre16 campaign. PINERGY the official energy partner to Munster Rugby will continue its Fan of the Match competition and introduce the new PINERGY POWER PLAYER for the second year of the #WeAre16 campaign.
PINERGY will run the #WeAre16 Fan of the Match competition at all Munster home games, recognising the energy determination and passion of Munster Rugby fans. The Fan of the Match is an acknowledgement of the energy the fans bring to the team, of the electric atmosphere in Thomond Park and Irish Independent Park and of the players’ recognition of the role the fans play for the team – Munster’s 16th man. The #WeAre16 Fan of the Match receives the 16-match jersey from a Munster player at the end of the game.
Building on the success of last season’s #WeAre16 campaign, PINERGY the energy innovators, have teamed up with Munster Rugby to create The PINERGY POWER PLAYER which is chosen for every Munster game based on the analytics from that game. PINERGY are the proud sponsor of the analytics and performance equipment used by Munster Rugby. The PINERGY POWER PLAYER is awarded at the end of every Munster game and is revealed across the PINERGY social channels. To date, Darren Sweetnam, CJ Stander, Tadhg Beirne, Alex Wootton, JJ Hanrahan, Jean Kleyn and Arno Botha have each been awarded the PINERGY POWER PLAYER this season.
PINERGY is also a proud supporter of the Munster Rugby Supporters Club Choir, the first provincial rugby choir of its kind in Ireland. Renowned for energising the Munster faithful with rousing renditions of ‘Stand Up & Fight’ and ‘Fields of Athenry’ before home matches in Thomond Park and Irish Independent Park.
