PSO Levy is reducing from December 1st.

The Public Service Obligation (PSO) Levy on electricity bills is being reduced across all customer groups.

Domestic Customers

  • New rate: €1.46 per month
  • Annual difference: approx. €6.60 savings per year

Small Commercial Customers (MIC < 30 kVA)

  • Old rate: €7.77 per month
  • New rate: €5.65 per month
  • Annual difference: approx. €25.44 savings per year

Large Commercial Customers (MIC ≥ 30 kVA)

  • Old rate: €0.96 per kVA per month
  • New rate: €0.70 per kVA per month

Why has the Rate Changed?

  • Updated forecasts showed that renewable generators need less financial support than originally expected (due to stronger renewable output and higher wholesale electricity prices), so the CRU reduced the PSO Levy accordingly.
