A really good quick step is to check your lighting. Are you using LED lighting? We supply and install energy-efficient Lighting As A Service solutions — a like for like lighting upgrade with no upfront cost. Your payments are typically matched by the savings generated through the move to LED lighting.

The benefits are numerous:

Yes. New business customers will get a smart meter installed. Depending on your business, installation usually takes less than an hour, and we will try to minimise any disruption to your normal business.

Once installed, you will also have access to up to the minute information online via our Pinergy One online portal. This will provide you with clear and easy-to-access information.

We offer tailored EV tariffs that separate charging from general use. Individual personal charging cards for your tenants. Bills based on kWh separated per energy user— so that everyone is on the same page.

Destination Charging is generally a place where a driver can spend three or more hours. This includes hotels, B&Bs, guesthouses, restaurants & golf courses where people will spend a number of hours and would like to get their EV charged while they are in the venue.

Pinergy Lifestyle is our latest smart energy product which allows our customers to select an energy plan that suits their lifestyle best. With Lifestyle we offer different smart plans which give discounts at specific times of the day so that consumers can select a plan that gives them value when they use energy most.

A Smart Energy Plan uses one of the new ESB Networks smart meters which are being installed across the country to give customers time of use tariffs that are much more specific to when you use your energy. Smart meters provide energy data every 30 minutes, this up-to-date energy data allows you to identify the true costs of appliances, or leaving a light switched on. Better understanding means more ways to improve energy use.

Currently we have three Lifestyle plans:

• Family Time – gives a 40% discount off our standard tariffs between 7pm and Midnight every day, when many families use most of their electricity.
• Work from Home Time – gives a 30% discount off our standard rates during your working week (9am to 5pm Monday – Friday).
• EV Drive – gives an attractive kWh discounted tariff between 2am and 5am – so you can charge while you sleep!

Current Tariffs

Please ensure that you only purchase credit via the Pinergy Smart App or a Payzone Approved outlet.

The home screen of your Pinergy Smart App shows your balance at a glance. It is the quickest and simplest way to view to your balance daily.

To ensure you account is always in credit, download the Pinergy Smart App and set up the automatic top up to ensure that your credit does not run out. In the unlikely event that you run out of credit, including all Emergency and Friendly Credit you may lose power in your home.

Acknowledging alerts

• Emergency Credit alerts when Emergency Credit is low or zero, you must top-up your account and follow the alert message instructions.
• Supply restoration alert when the unit is plugged in: To reconnect press ‘0’ (zero) to turn the unit on. Then press ‘A’ to accept and ‘B’ to confirm.
• Supply restoration alert when the unit is on battery power: to reconnect your supply, follow the instructions on the ‘Restore Supply’ alert screens and acknowledge with the appropriate button presses.

Note: You must repay the payment amount due to put your account above zero before supply restoration is permitted.

• GREEN = Good to go
• AMBER = Running Low
• RED = Top up now

Emergency Credit

If you are unable to top up immediately and you are low on credit you can avail of €10 Emergency Credit. To activate Emergency Credit press 7 on the keypad of your Smart Meter ‘EC Offer’ will appear in the display, press A to accept.

Don’t forget if you top up whilst in Emergency Credit you need to fully repay the Emergency Credit that you have used and make sure you top up to bring you account into credit balance of at least €2.

Friendly Credit

If your Emergency Credit runs out between 5pm – 9am on week days or 5pm Friday – 9am Monday, our Friendly Credit will be applied. We’ve got fixed public holidays covered too. To give you even more peace of mind, we guarantee your supply will not be turned off on the following key holiday dates:

• New Years Day (1 Jan)
• St Patrick’s Day (Mar 17)
• Christmas Eve (Dec 24)
• Christmas Day (Dec 25)
• St Stephens Day (Dec 26)
• New Year’s Eve (Dec 31)

If you have used your Emergency Credit and Friendly Credit, the next time you buy electricity you must pay these balances off. As each needs a minimum of €2 to work, you’ll need to factor this in too.

If you run out of Emergency Credit and Friendly Credit you will need to make a top up payment to your account as soon as possible.

To restore power after making a payment, go to the Smart Meter close to your Fuse Board and press ‘0’ (zero), then press ‘A’ to confirm and finally press ‘B’ to connect.
