Pinergy, the smart clean energy supplier & solutions company has announced the launch of their new Guarantee of Origin Scheme for commercial clients. The launch coincides with Pinergy confirming agreements now in place with its first tranche of customers, including Knight Frank.
Pinergy’s new Guarantee of Origin offering, also referred to as a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA), is an agreement whereby a company can directly purchase electricity generated from a wind farm or solar farm based in Ireland that is feeding power into the national grid.
Todays’ announcement from Pinergy is in response to the growing demand amongst businesses for a certified process to purchase renewable energy that is generated in Ireland.
The new Guarantee of Origin Scheme from Pinergy, will support companies as they look to reduce their carbon footprint ensuring they now have a traceable energy system in place for their portfolio from a chosen renewable facility in Ireland.
Commenting on the launch of the scheme Jon Jerromes, Head of Sales at Pinergy said; “Businesses are looking for more tangible ways to demonstrate their commitment to drive their renewable energy agenda. By entering into a Power Purchase Agreement with Pinergy, customers will get Guarantee of Origin certification on their power usage and be able assign a specific location to their usage.”

Among Pinergy’s first corporate customers to sign up for its’ new renewable Guarantee of Origin certification is leading global commercial and residential real estate agent, Knight Frank who have entered into a contract with Pinergy to avail of the new Guarantee of Origin Scheme which has resulted in its entire managed portfolio now being powered completely by guaranteed renewable green energy. All Knight Frank’s energy demand in Ireland will now be met by renewable electricity sourced from a wind farm in Currabwee, Dunmanway, Co Cork.
