Business Microgeneration - Get paid for making electricity

Making electricity? Sell what you don’t need.

Find out your Generator Type

Understanding your generation category is the first step in maximising your payments for exporting energy with Pinergy. The classification of your system (Solar PV, wind, etc.) determines the technical and metering requirements you must meet to receive your Clean Export Guarantee (CEG) payments.

Accurate measurement is essential for us to calculate and pay your Clean Export Guarantee (CEG) for the energy you send back to the grid.

Meter Requirements

  • Micro and Minigeneration: You require a Smart Meter capable of accurately measuring both imported and exported energy.
  • SSG (Small-Scale Generation): For these large installations, an Import-Export (G/H) Meter is mandatory.

Micogeneration Scheme for Business

Microgeneration with Pinergy

Before you can earn for surplus electricity through the Clean Export Guarantee (CEG), your generation asset (e.g., solar panels) must be officially registered with ESB Networks, the national distribution system operator responsible for managing grid connections for renewable generators.

Minigeneration with Pinergy

Before you can earn for surplus electricity through the Clean Export Guarantee (CEG), your generator (larger solar or renewable systems) must be officially registered with ESB Networks, the national distribution system operator responsible for managing grid connections for renewable generators.

The requirements for this process, including specific forms and technical studies, depend on the generating capacity of your installation.

Small-Scale Generation with Pinergy

Before you can earn for surplus electricity through the Clean Export Guarantee (CEG), your generator (larger renewable systems) must be officially registered with ESB Networks, the national distribution system operator responsible for managing grid connections for renewable generators.

The requirements for this process, including specific forms, technical studies, and site assessments, depend on the generating capacity of your installation.
