Fact: The upfront cost of installing a solar system is an investment, but the price of solar panels is currently cheaper than it has ever been. The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) provides grants that bring the initial cost down. Around 60,000 houses in Ireland now have solar panels installed.
