This story starts last October at the ISME Annual Conference in Citywest when we got the opportunity to speak with Joe McGrath, Managing Director of JPM. JPM is a facilities management company who provide a range of services to their clients including catering, cleaning and engineering.
Joe was facing a challenge that many business owners do, which is understanding their energy consumption. Joe said “One of my business’s biggest challenges is managing our costs. We did a full upgrade of their office’s lighting to a more modern energy-efficient LED lighting and we installed the latest in smart meter technology to understand their consumption. We have been able to work with JPM to significantly reduce their electricity consumption and ultimately reduce their costs”
The LED lighting retrofit has had other benefits beyond the accounts, which has been an 80% reduction in lighting costs. The working environment has been improved with better lighting leading to improved morale and improved aesthetics for the JPM / Diacom building.
