The Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup final will take place on Tuesday, March 12th at 2pm at Virgin Media Park whilst the Girls Senior Cup final will be held on Wednesday March 13th at 4pm at the same venue.

An action-packed season of Pinergy Munster Schools Boys and Girls Senior Cup rugby is set to come to a thrilling conclusion this week as Presentation Brothers College take on Christian Brothers College in the Boys Senior Cup final while in the Girls Senior Cup final Coláiste Muire of Ennis will take on Sacred Heart Clonakilty. To celebrate the finals Pinergy were joined by former Presentation Brothers star and current Munster rugby player, Alex Kendellen, former Munster and Ireland rugby player, Ciara Griffin as well as captains from the four schools taking part in this week’s finals.

Pinergy is delighted to continue supporting the development and sustainability of rugby for young players, both boys and girls throughout Munster. Through this year’s inaugural support of the Girls Senior Cup, Pinergy are committed to help grow the female game and play a part in building foundations for inclusivity and equality in the sport of rugby.

As the Pinergy Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup season comes to a close, all attention turns to who will claim the Garett Fitzgerald Cup this season. In a repeat of last year’s final, local rivals Presentation Brothers College take on Christian Brothers College and the stage is set for a thrilling showdown. Presentation Brothers victory last year saw them draw level with Christian Brothers in overall Munster Schools Boys Senior Cup victories at 31 each adding an extra edge to this week’s final as one school will walk away with the honour of having the most Senior Cup titles of any school in Munster.

This year’s Pinergy Munster Schools Girls Senior Cup boasted another thrilling season of school’s rugby, with unrivalled skills, nail-biting fixtures, and outstanding support on show throughout the games. With games ending in the narrowest of margins, it was heartbreak for two-in-a-row senior cup title winners for St Anne’s Community College as they lost out by just one point to Sacred Heart Clonakilty who progress to the final. Coláiste Muire, Ennis will be their opponents having reached their maiden final this year.
